Plug MarketCheck into Claude,
ChatGPT, and any MCP agent.
Real-time automotive data (listings, pricing, VIN decode, sold history) exposed as native tools your AI can call. One API key, every major agent.
What you get
Native tools, not raw endpoints.
Tools, not REST
Your agent calls search_active_cars, not a URL. Schemas, examples, and parameter docs come from the MCP server, so your AI knows how to use them.
Same key, same plan
MCP calls use your existing API key and count against the same plan. Usage shows up in your dashboard. No separate billing surface.
Sign in, no key to paste
Add a URL and sign in with OAuth for Claude and ChatGPT on the web. Local stdio proxy via the @marketcheck/mcp-client npm package for Claude Code, Cursor, and other IDE agents.
Examples
What you can ask, by role.
Tap any prompt to copy it, or open it directly in Claude. Each one maps to one or more MarketCheck MCP tools.
Segments
Dealer
For franchise & independent dealers. Competitive pricing, inventory intelligence, stocking guides.
Available tools
3 tools, served by both paths.
| Tool | What it does | Region |
|---|---|---|
| get_server_info | Server metadata + the tool catalog itself (used by clients for introspection). | Both |
| search_uk_active_cars | UK live listings search across active dealer inventory. | UK |
| search_uk_recent_cars | UK recently sold or expired listings. | UK |
Also available in NA: search_active_cars, search_past_90_days, predict_price_with_comparables, get_car_history, decode_vin_neovin, get_sold_summary, search_oem_incentives, search_oem_incentives_by_zip, search_dealerships, search_dealers.
Connect your agent
Two paths. Pick one.
Most people want the Custom Connector: paste a URL, sign in, and you're done. The local proxy is for IDE agents that read MCP config from a file.
On claude.ai, open your profile → Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Fill in the dialog (no API key needed):
MarketCheck MCPshttps://developers.marketcheck.com/api/mcpClick Add. Claude opens a MarketCheck sign-in window.
Sign in with your MarketCheck account, then on the consent screen tick the tools to allow and pick the API key to use. Click Allow.
You can change the allowed tools or revoke access later from API Keys, under AI Agents.
Open a new chat on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop and ask anything automotive. The tools appear automatically.
CLI mode
Run without an agent
For debugging, scripting, or piping tool calls into your own AI workflow.
MARKETCHECK_API_KEY=<YOUR_API_KEY> npx -y @marketcheck/mcp-clientBuild with your coding assistant
Give your agent the docs. Free, no key.
The docs MCP server puts searchable MarketCheck documentation and an exact endpoint reference inside Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, or Windsurf while it writes your integration. It reads public documentation only: no sign-in, no API key, nothing to configure. Pair it with the data MCP above when your agent also needs live data.

AGENTS.md for your repo
Drop one file into your project root and your assistant knows our auth, pagination rules, rate-limit handling, and the key endpoints. Works with any agent that reads AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md.
curl -O https://developers.marketcheck.com/AGENTS.mdOpenAPI 3.1 spec
Every endpoint with every parameter and a real example response. Point Cursor's @Docs at it, hand it to a codegen tool, or let your agent read it directly.
